Dance Masters International Association was founded in 1962 and was formerly known as West Australian Dance Masters Association (WADMA). This society was formed as a need for an organisation to represent Professional Teachers here in Western Australia. DMIA now represents Professional Teachers from Australasia in the two areas of the dancing world. These being Ballroom and Theatrical.
